In the field of aquarium fish it is used to treat a variety of ailments from fungal infections in fish to disinfecting and treating open wounds. Typically when mixed at a proportion of 3g/1000 litres Acriflavine can be used to kill all protozoan parasites including Costia, White Spot, Chilodonella and Trichodena.
